Bayani B. Loste

Bay heads the Intellectual Property Practice Group of Fortun Narvasa & Salazar. He had previously worked with several litigation teams of FNSLAW since he began his practice in 1999 before he was invited to become a partner in 2006. In 2018, Bay spun off the patent prosecution practice of FNSLAW into Pinoy IP Works, Inc., which he now leads as its Managing Director.

Aside from handling IP cases, Bay likewise actively prosecutes patents as he is one of the few Philippine lawyers who passed the IPOPHL’s Patent Agent Qualifying Examinations. He is also involved in professionalizing the country’s patent practice and training future patent practitioners through the Association of PAQE Professionals, Inc., a non-profit composed of certified patent attorneys and agents in the Philippines.

He is currently the President of the Licensing Executives Society Philippines, the national society of LES International, a worldwide federation of professionals involved in transferring technology, industrial and intellectual property rights.

Bay teaches IP fundamentals and patent drafting sponsored by private and public institutions, both local and foreign.

Bay is based in Laguna province, where he tends to his newly planted coffee and cacao seedlings in between virtual meetings, drafting patents, and licensing technologies.

Bay’s email address is [email protected].
