RODERICK R.C. SALAZAR III – Dicky graduated from University of the Philippines (UP) School of Economics with an AB Economics degree in 1983 and the UP College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor in 1987. He passed the 1987 Philippine Bar examination. He obtained his Master of Laws from the San Beda University Graduate School of Law in 2022.
With over 39 years’ experience in law practice, Dicky, as Senior Partner of Fortun Narvasa & Salazar – a general services Firm of 30 lawyers – specializes in corporate and commercial law, mining, renewable energy and natural resources law, mergers and acquisitions, real estate law, taxation, and special projects,.
Dicky likewise represents foreign and Filipino mining companies involved in all aspects of mining from exploration, project financing, construction, development and processing. His existing foreign and domestic mining clients range from operating companies to exploration entities. He is a director and corporate secretary in various corporations such as, among others, Phil. Gold & Processing Corp; FCF Minerals Corporation; SEMCO Exploration and Mining Corp. (President); and Crescent Mining and Development Corporation.
Dicky advises corporate clients in all aspects of corporate law and acts as director and corporate secretary, and resident agent of various domestic and foreign companies. He also counsels on incorporation and registration of corporate entities; corporate compliance and governance issues; corporate structures and reorganization; mergers and acquisitions, due diligence; real estate transactions, and availment of incentives.
Dicky was recently included as an Icon in the Asia Business Law Journal list of 2027 top 100 lawyers in the Philippines and in previous years. He was also listed in the 2026 edition and in past editions of the International Who’s Who of Mining Lawyers for the Philippines. He was ranked as a leading lawyer in natural resources and mining by Chambers Global 2025 and prior years and is highly recommended as a leading lawyer in projects, energy and natural resources by Chambers Asia-Pacific 2026. He is included in the Hall of Fame for lawyers in projects and energy; and considered a leading partner in corporate law by the Asia Legal 500 2026 Edition and for prior years. He is the author of the Philippine Chapter on Mining Law of the International Comparative Legal Guides.
Dicky is an active member of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines Executive and Legal Committees, a trustee of the Philippine Mineral Exploration Association. He is the Corporate Secretary of the Australia-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce.
He is the former President of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Makati City Chapter. He is a member of the Technical Working Group of the Supreme Court of the Philippines on the Unified Legal Aid Services. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the San Beda College Alabang.
He lectures on commercial law review; corporate law, property law, partnership, agency and trust; and environmental law at the UP College of Law; and the San Beda College Alabang School of Law. He has taught law students for over twenty-five years since 2001 starting at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila College of Law; DLSU-FEU College of Law; Lyceum of the Philippines University College of Law; Tanada-Diokno-DLSU College of Law; and the University of Makati School of Law.
